This is from an original project file that was fine in the previous version of xcode?

Looks like an issue with the ad size. I thought I read something in the documentation about allowing different sizes, but I thought that was for ipad not iphone. I would try running it on a device with the beta installed and see if you get the same error? I have to imagine we will be seeing an update to the Beta fairly soon too. BTW- I am sure you know, but you will not be able to submit apps with the Xcode beta. Have you run this same build in an earlier version of Xcode?

Yup...things like this happen with every new release of Xcode. When the "usable" version is out, we'll get things adjusted as needed. In this case it looks like iOS 6 has implemented some changes in the way iAd works. You could just comment out the lines of code that are tripping up the compiler. That should get you past the compiler issues. But, of course it will also prevent you from using iAd in this manner. Not sure if that matters?

Yup, in the image here: http://s16.postimage.org/9x6flhrw5/Screen_Shot_2012_06_12_at_3_17_11_PM.png The Xcode compiler is complaining at several lines. In looking at the project explorer (on the left in the image) it appears that some other files are also causing the trouble. The idea is to tell Xcode and the compiler to ignore these lines. So, the line that begins with [theAdView...... becomes //[theAdView.... You'll end up doing that wherever there are errors caused by iOS 6 and the new Xcode version you're using. Look at the little status window in the image, you'll see the number 4 with a red indicator. This means there are 4 places that this will need done ;-) We'll get your downloadable project to play-nice with the newest version of Xcode and iOS when it's publicaly released. Until then, experiment away ;-)

To re-cap this... a) The latest version of Xcode combined with the latest version if iOS (the developer releases) will have some issues until we iron out the source-code downloads from your control panel. b) Some of these issues have already been identified (in this thread and in some of our own testing). In this case, commenting out the compiler warnings seems to be enough to satisfy the compiler. However, commenting out the things identified in this thread will keep iAd's from working properly. c) There will surely be more things identified as the public release date approaches. Expect a public release in early fall. Just guessing here. d) Several of the core iOS apps have been updated / improved / changed. Example: Maps. This means some of the existing BT plugins may or may not need to be modified. I expect some will and some will not. I also fully expect more flexibility allowed meaning that some plugins may be improved / enhanced to support newer features, like 3D maps. We'll learn more about each individual screen type and how we may / may not be able to improve them given time. The new Facebook integration announcement explains a bit about why the BT "Share on Facebook" and "Share on Twitter" screen types were left out of v2.0 control panel. We were expecting this. We've already done lots of work with the Tweet Sheet and can now do work on the Facebook features. This just means that adding Facebook and Twitter functions will become much more native / seamless when working with iOS - good stuff. e) We encourage folks to experiment with iOS 6 and the new Xcode release but NOT to try to submit any apps to the App Store that have been compiled using the latest version of Xcode. It almost always (not almost, just always) causes issues, rejections, and wasted time. The best advice, and we've given it through several releases of Xcode is to "tinker with the new but continue to use the old" until it's all public. It's just better that way.

hello all. was playing with the new xcode and ios6 sim. i loaded fresh config code from BT control panel with no modifications from the ios5 code and it loaded and ran with no issues. The only problem i'm having is that only about half of email links are working in ios6. Most of my pages have a mailto: link and half show up and the other half are just not there. they are on word docs. everything works fine in ios5 with the same code. any suggestions?
