Menu Buttons Images Caching

Afternoon Folks! Am I missing something? the screen behaviour option doesnt seem available, Im having to wait approx 10 seconds for my menu buttons screens to open. They also, will not always load, but will other times! There are 24 buttons on each so im guessing the url images may be the cause?? I am apprehensive to include them all in the bt_images folder as i tried this for one of the 3 menu screens and it brought the app size up to 6mb!!! Cheers, Aaron

It's a big deal on older phones. My phone hasn't got 6mb free on it. Even smallish Apps need to go on the sd card.

Yes, it's a big deal for older and newer phones. Many (most) apps in the Google Play don't install to SD card. One of my best ideas was to convince (and explain to) the Calvin & Hobbs app maker to allow move 2 SD card. His app is one of my favourites, but I told him it had to go of it didn't allow install to SD card. Though he had a killer app, the technology (and market) had changed allowing a new feature that he mistakenly thought was not permitted by his app. After a few email exchanges later he updated his app. Same thing with QuicPic, only he knew about move 2 SD card but he thought it wasn't a big deal. Took a trip least 5 email exchanges before he accepted that it was a big deal. Both apps are still one of my favourites. So if you have an app you like, but the app developer doesn't allow move 2SD card let them know. Many users will simply 1 star your ratings then uninstall. What the users fail to understand is that the technology had advanced rapidly and many developers are unaware of the changes. Many people still don't understand move 2 SD card and avoid large apps unnecessarily. So, always point this out in the apps Play page as a feature. Fred

The main problem I have Fred is that I don't have the free memory to download some big items ( adobe aira recent one I can think of) so never get the option :)

Yes, Google maps had to go, plus don't (won't install) most of their apps. Don't understand what's up with that. Dropbox upgraded their app to no longer allow move 2 SD card. Had a few exchanges with them and finally they stated that some new features will no longer allow install 2 SD card. For my Tablet I use their upgraded version, for my phone I found an older version of their app. Don't know why they don't give you the option. Had to search the internet for the older version. Their Google Play page is full of 1 star ratings due to the "upgrade". Fred
