I added a header image to my app let's call it "header.png" and then added the double resolution retina image "[email protected]" and for the life of my I could not figure out why the @2x image would not display correctly "blurry" on retina display devices (iphone4 > and New iPad). I tried just about everything I could think of different file formats, etc and nothing worked. Well come to find out if you have the "Image Corner Radius" option turned on under the "Header Image Layout" the retina display image becomes blurry and it appears that it is not working. The solution TURN OFF "Image Corner Radius". I spent quite a bit of time working on trying to resolve this problem and when I figured out why it wasn't working it was not working and how simple it was to fix I could not believe it. Hopefully this post will help someone else out in the future. Also, if you really want rounded corners do it in Photoshop on some other graphics program to the original images. They display fine withint he app. Do a google search for rounded corner for the graphics program you are going to use I'm sure you will fine a quick and easy tutorial on how to do it.

Tell me about it. I thought I was going crazy. I was double and triple checking image sizes Googling like a mad man on @2x image not working, etc. I had one header image in my app that I did not set to have "Rounded corners". When I realized that this image was displaying the @2x image properly I instantly knew what the problem was and how to fix it. I must say when I had that eureka moment it sure felt good.
