The versionName is what people see, but it's the versionCode that Google requires be incremented from version to version! As long as versionCode is higher than the previous version of the app, than Google is happy. And you can put whatever you want in versionName. Mark Comments Yeah, it's kinda weird. Otherwise, you'll have to publish it as a new app. You can only update versions if you use the same keystore to sign it with. Once you find it, put it someplace safe, so you know where it is in the future. I keep mine on DropBox, so I can access it from any computer.
