As I understand it, your not using their storage, therefore you would save to your computer. If interested I have a similar solution. Send email to discuss. Fred

Hi Aaron, Some people in this forum have tried it, and I think they ended up abandoning it for buzztouch work. MacInCloud requires, I believe, that you use DropBox for storing your files, which means any changes you make should be persistent. But I'm not sure about your overall system image. Would be a good question to ask them! Mark

Thanks Fred, have sent you a message! And thanks to you too Mark, I am really eager to start work on turning my app into an iOS version aswell, I'm going to be relying on instant saturation of my target market, and I know that, for the time being at least, the popular consumer option is iphones. Without the £££ to purchase a macbook, im a bit stuck me thinks. Any Suggestions?? :) Cheers, Aaron

Unfortunately I don't have any suggestions, other than to see if you can find a used Mac mini to do you work on. That's what I did, and was able to get one for around $200. It works perfectly for my needs! Make sure you get an Intel version, and not the PPC one, as that doesn't support Xcode any longer. I'm very interested in hearing what Fred's solution is if you can share. It might help out others! Mark

Yeah, this whole Macincloud thing sounds as though it will be good in some instances but not so good if you're operating a PC and want to utilize it to do Mac work. Too much brain damage. I like Mark's idea and thank you for the Intel tip. Glenn

Any updates on this? I find myself possibly wanting to give this a shot as my old macbook is now obsolete and can't handle the current version of Xcode. Fred - will the idea you had still work?
