Hello, If i had a 2-20 second sound clip from a movie or tv show in my app, that someone could potentially download and use for a ring or text tone, would i be breaking any copyright laws? I have spoken to several lawyers regarding this, but none have been very helpful. i was wondering if anyone in BT has looked into this or has any experience in the matter. I used to do a lot of borderline (ahem!) stuff on youtube. (Innocent...) posting of videos containing copyrighted music got deleted as soon as they were invariably reported, but not so karaoke tracks of the same tunes. Some are still up years later. I looked into it and found that karaoke tracks are a grey area and tend to be left alone by the powers that be. Might be something for Class1c to consider.. Comments hmmm...
