Buzztouch and Android Versions

Hi firstly, sorry for the title as I wasn't sure what title to give it. All I really want to know is, will the Buzztouch Android Apps work on all Android handsets using Android V2.2 upwards to the latest version of Android 4.0 on newer handsets or are we limited to the a certain version of Android, when building apps using Buzztouch? Sorry if it is an obvious question. Kind Regards Dragon

You can use BT v 1.5 and 2.0 apps on any android devices which has minimum Google API version 2.2. It means BT v 1.5 and 2.0 apps do not work on any android devices running API version below 2.2.

Build Target This is the version of the Android SDK that you're using to build your application. For example, if you choose Google 2.2, your application will be compiled against the Google 2.2 platform library. The target you choose here does not have to match the target you chose for your AVD; however, the target must be equal to or lower than the target you chose for your AVD. Android applications are forward-compatible, which means an application will run on the platform against which it is built as well as all platforms that are released in the future. For example, an application that is built against the 2.2 platform library will run normally on an AVD or device that is running the 2.3.3. The reverse is not true. For BTv1.5 & BTv2.0 you must use 2.2 or higher. Some features will require a build greater than 2.2. So a BTv1.4 (Google 1.6 API 4) will run in a 2.1 device. Fred
