App runs fine in Simulator but not on ipad or iphone

I have made some changes to an app we already have in the app store. Why I can see the changes happen live on my ipad and iphone I am having some problems with graphics. I see new graphics that I have added show up on the app in the simulator but on the ipad and iphone the new graphics fail to show up. The weird thing is I was able to do one whole new section of the app and get it to work correctly. When I went to make more changes the graphics started disappearing on the iphone and ipad when the app refreshed. Any ideas? Possibly something messed up in the bt_images folder?

Graphics embedded (added to the package) require you to publish a new binary. Changes made via the control panel only reflect the JSON data, not embedded graphics. Read my Online CD. Offline guide to understand the how and why. www.MySkylla.com Fred

@Fred is correct. Unless you have referenced the images via a URL, you will have to create an update to your app and submit it to iTunes again. Same roughly 7 day process to get it reviewed. In the meantime, while it's waiting for review, because you've made changes to the config file of your app, your current users will see incomplete content. Kinda a weird Catch 22. Mark

If you are referring to your background images a quick fix is to upload the images to your website and link the background screens to these files using the "Image URL" in the screen or layout advanced settings. Delete the information in the "Image File Name" lines. The other option is to submit the new binary for review with the images, but this takes 7 days. If you decide to reupload the binary you can change the file name in the "Image File Name" back to the original file name you uploaded with your last binary submission.
