Option to download mp3 being streamed.

Right now, I use a custom text/HTML screen with an mp3 file (local) playing behind it. I want to shrink my app so instead of this approach, I want to do a URL and stream it behind the text. I want to put a download button in the nav bar so the user can save the mp3 locally if they want. How can I tell the screen to download it and make it so that it plays the downloaded file instead of the URL? Would I use if/else? What files do I need to edit?

HMMMMMMMMMMM. This is a toughie and it might be something you'll need to program in yourself rather then finding a buzztouch option. Maybe a plugin. Subscribing to see if anyone else finds a viable solution. David buzztouchmods.com

I was thinking maybe I tell the control panel to do a URL but edit the coding to do an if/else and play a downloaded file but I guess what I need to know is: 1. Where I would find the code I need to edit 2. How to tell it to download the file instead of stream it 3. Where to tell it to put the downloaded file 4. If I need more than if/else to pull this off
