Here is the answer - videos by a guy with 45 apps & 35 million downloads. I've spent about 18 months making apps using the wonderful Buzztouch :) Most have sold in various amounts, but I made them solely because I had access to already written content. While I can make apps, my struggle was the marketing and knowing BEFORE I made apps how they would sell. No point sending a few weeks on an app that no one downloads :) Anyway, long story short, I came across a guy who has great view on what apps to make, and how to best promote them. Hes got 45 apps made, totaling 35 million downloads & has made a series of videos. Here are a few links, hope you find them useful too!! From non-techies to developers who needed a marketing strategy, to a 10 year old boy who is now making his own apps.
