Its up to you what you spend (DIY or contract it out to someone) to get it built. If it doesn't use a server, then once its live Apple get 30% and you get 70%. Straight into your bank account every month.

With Android as in Apple, whether you make money depends on many factors. Advantage of Android is you don't have to spend money, but a well funded app may have an advantage. Fred

Hi @oliverengland, Welcome to buzztouch! Yes, you can make money without spending any, though it is very difficult. It does cost $25 to get a Google Play developer account, which is where you upload Android apps to. And it does cost $99/year for the Apple Developer account, which you need to upload iOS apps to iTunes. However, if you can find somebody with those accounts who are willing to publish apps for you, then you wouldn't have to pay anything. BUT...they would be publishing them under THEIR accounts, so it would have to be somebody you could trust. Assuming you have that taken care of, you could then create a basic app here at buzztouch, add ads (like AdMob or iAds) to it, and publish the app for free. You would get a portion of the revenue from those ads. Not all of the money, but most. The old adage "you can't get something for nothing" is really appropriate here. You can get something for nothing, but it's probably going to have lots of problems associated with it, because you'll be replying on others for things you'd normally pay for. If you have $25, and a PC, then you could set yourself up for Android app development, and not have to pay anything else! Mark
