Using iPhone camera in app

I am trying to get the native camera app to open on the iPhone from 2.0 self hosted app. I can get it to open through Instagram using the command "Instagram://camera". Is there a way to call up the camera app that comes with the phone. My concern with using Instagram is that not everyone has the app.

In the iOS section of my guide I believe you'll find the solution. www.MySkylla.com Fred

Have the same concerns about Instagram in an APP. I read it was supposed to redirect you to install the Instagram APP if they don't have it installed. That doesn't seem to be the case, i just get a popup saying 'can't open URL' I'd like to change that text to 'you need to install instagram on your phone'. Looking at the BT_screen_custumURL to see if i can chnage that. I'm looking into making a native plugin that launches and works with the camera instead. Trying to integrate Instagram and Aviary to work with MY plugin instead of trying to work with theirs. Gonna be a bit, but i've got some framework for it in place already....

Thanks. Is it in the Xcode/iOS section?

Fred - there is no URL scheme to access the native camera in iOS that i can find. I've been looking. You've found one and seen it work on a device?

I thought there was one, I'll look. Using HTML I can open a page that allows me to choose the picture gallery or camera, but it's not my site, so I might accidentally post the image.
