Easy Steps How To Embed Video In BT 2.0 Server or BT (IOS)

Steps for iOS Open up in the BT_Layers folder: BT_viewControllerManager.m Search for "//BT_screen_video -- Look at the next line Find and replace: BT_screen_video with >>> BT_screen_htmlDoc Add your video file to the BT_Video folder Clean and rebuild It should open in the native video player. This could work for Android however I did not test it because it takes forever to load the simulator so if someone could try and let us know! :)

Edit: I have to work out some things lol.. I realized that it changed my html docs in the app im building. So I will just copy the h and m files to a new bt_screen_video folder and name it bt_screen_video.h and .m delegate renaming the instances from htmldoc to video I'll update this post to clear things up after I'm done. sorry!

nice find. sounds almost like a plug-in! have to take a look at this. could have saved me some time. i might try that method with a different screen. i just got the MediaPlayer Framework working in my 2.0 plugin i've been working on. This definately is the way to go with embedding videos in your app. Launches in a jiffy and plays them so smoothly, no more youtube bottleneck. the only downside is the updating part if you embed it in the app. so now i can understand a little more why youtube is so necessary and used so much with apps. unless you want to do lots of app updates, and videos makes them LARGE updates. depends on the nature of the app i suppose! again, thanks for the tip on this. good eye. very useful!

I am new to all of this....but want to have short videos included in my app so they are stored on the device and run locally without an internet connection....is this possible?

@SunSurf it's definately possible and a few methods too to choose from: I haven't tried the steps above by @mysps but that is using all BT screens with some simple mods. I feel like there have been a lot of posts with sucessful Video embedding using all BT screen in BT 1.5. Most opt for youtube/launch native app. I'm doing it using the MediaPlayer Framework and a custom plug-in screen in my iOS BT 2.0 app. Took me some time to learn this. But keeps users in my app and no YouTube needed. You could also look into using jPlayer to do this. That keeps them in the app and the bonus is that jPlayer works on BOTH Android and iOS.
