Is it possible to animate a header image?

I created an animated .gif and added it as my header image. I figured this would work for creating animation on the device. However, when I tested it on my iPhone it only shows the first image and does not rotate them. Any suggestions would be very helpful. I only have about 3-6 images I want to rotate as the header image in a continues loop. I'm using Buzztouch 1.5 and create the app for iOS.

Heres a link and an exerpt from and email I was sent by @ATTAIN53 http://appsamuck.com/day2.html "I was able to re-use that same code to make animated header images for my BT Advanced menu based on some advice from David. I think this really revvs up the boring menu. Hoping to share that down the road with everyone if i can learn to work with that Control Panel/JSON."

This looks very interesting. Except it seems you would need to add this code into the BT_Screens folder in the BT_screen_menuList.m file and I think that would add the animated images to every menu screen in the app. I only want this on the main menu "Home" which happens to be a Menu List. However, this is very good info and might come in handy for something else in the future.

I believe that if you only want to use this on the home menu then you would need to copy the plugin use it self hosted to upload it to your control panel with the added code.

I was doing some Google searching on how to accomplish the animated images problem with Xcode and I could not believe what I found. On the first page of results I found a link to an article on Buzztouch.com that told me exactly how to accomplish this task. Here is the link I found and it works just as described. http://buzztouch.com/appdata/sample-animate-header.html I did have to comment out the "Create adView?" section in file BT_screen_menuList.m on around line 100 because after pasting in the code from the article the Create adView? section had errors. I'm not using Ad's in my app so this was not a problem for me.

I followed the directions and I received errors for the second part of the code. -MDG
