iOS Marketing - moving an app to free and then back to paid, do I lose app user reviews?

Hello everyone, First, I'd like to suggest a new forum topic (looked for it and couldn't find it): iOS/Android Marketing tips, where we can share tips and strategies about increasing revenues with our apps (both paid and free), like pricing strategy, promo strategy, contests, lunch tips etc etc Then, I have a paid app live in the App Store, and I'm moving it to be free for few days (while waiting for the LITE version to be approved) ... I KNOW that, when I'll move the app back among the paid apps, I will lose any rank I may have acquired on among the free apps (makes sense to me) My question is Do I also lose eventual user reviews that people wrote me during the free period? I mean the comment on the section below screenshots, and the ranking stars? Because I guess I'll get a bunch of positive feedbacks while being free, and I'd like to keep them on the paid store.. Hope someone knows thanks everyone

In Google Play you will lose said rankings, and related. Not sure, but you may not be able to take a free app to paid. Vaguely remember something about that. Fred

With iTunes Connect, you can take a paid app to free and back. I already set it up. You basically decide from which day utill which day it's gonna be free, and iTunes automatically schedules to raise up the price - at the level it was before the offer started - the day after the promo is over. Incredibly smart, being iTunes Connect (before I do it, I was actually scared they were going to ask me to submit the app again to change the price tier :) But still I am wondering about the reviews..

I think that it will be off of rankings and moved to free rankings if it ranks like i had a top 2 medical app a couple weeks ago and i moved it to free for the weekend got a lot of downloads to help promote the 2nd one but i lost my ranking and had to start all over and now I'm back at like 15 so if you think it will help its your call bro

Fred, do you even read post titles anymore - or is your brain just hard wired to Android. (unless we're able to release "iOS" apps in Google Play?) @claudio: I don't think you'll lose any reviews. And if you get a lot of positive reviews, that definitely helps in the rankings.

By the way, you can "release" iOS apps for non-iOS devices to play. Place it on the Internet and we can play it. Great for demo purposes. No sound. Played one (iOS) on my Android device the other day. Fred
