App getting a little bit huge

Hi All this is really a question for the masterminds behind buzzoutch itself but.... I have planned and experimented my way to having an exact idea of how big/complex/amazing my first app is going to be, and its a little scary. If i want it to be as good as I do I am probably looking at 800 odd screens!!! Whilst although i am happhy to upgrade my account, and find the time to create all of these, I am aware there are different limits etc for different accounts. However, I am not at a knowledgable enough state to need or want a self hosted option, yet would obviously need the unlimited screens option. Is there an account in between that can supply me with more screens, but not require the self hosted option? Thanks all!

You could consider creating your screens with JSON and editor. Benefits: Easier Don't count against screen limit

@fred is right, that's the best (and only way?) to really do that, unless you can set a deal up with the bt-gang themselves. If it's content based screens, maybe just make a list and link those to html pages (so a html list) using some awesome tools like listmaker, ect. or coding it yourself. If you do end up doing bt-hosting, I recommend you check https://www.buzztouchmods.com/forum/viewthread.php?thread_id=8 (we'd do it all for you, you don't need the knowledge). 800 screens huh? That's huge! Best of luck! David buzztouchmods.com

Hi @Aaronus Maximus Check out the helpful tools that @stobe has created for BuzzTouchers: http://idevdepot.com/projects/ His new List Menu Tool could be good: http://idevdepot.com/list-menu-tool/ And this one lets you add 2 HTML docs to 1 BT screen: http://idevdepot.com/double-html-tool/ I haven't used either but they look like they could help. Contact @stobe for more info.

Thanks both of you! The screens themselves are going to be pretty much exactly the same, but for different football teams, so having 800 does seem alot, but when i can get about 20 of them working, its just a case of copying the other 700-odd. I've had a brief look at JSON which although looks daunting, I know i should really learn it for future ambitions, but the html is also very appealing, I might do a little of both! Thanks very muhc for your advice! Cheers, aaron

With HTML you could just create one really nice page then just create copies it with the different teams details. Then using @stobes HTML doubler tool you can easily fit in 800 pages. I haven't used it though so not sure quite how it works!

wow sepala, thankyou! Ive just had a scan through and not sure if its exactly what i need. A "screen-tree" of sorts would look sopmething like STAGE 1 Main Menu STAGE 2 League 1---League 2---League 3--- etc (12 in total) STAGE 3 Team 1---team 2---team 3 etc (roughly 20-24 in each league) STAGE 4 Website url---Twitter URL---Twitter U'name--- facebook Site---call club---email club---Map--- (7 additional screens for each team) Plus about 10 other screens witha forum/contact us/info etc Blimey, looking at it that way, it may take some time :)

It is a lot of content. One idea would be to Have most of the content (team info etc.) all on a backend server rather than in the app. You could create a mobile website (with Wordpress?) with all 800 screens for the teams on it and in the app you just have a custom URL screen that links to the website. The app wouldn't work offline but it is one way to deal with so many pages.

Thinking about it I might sort the wheel of death through Fred's guide and make all the facebook/twitter/website urls just be a link on the team screen to open in browser. That should cut it down!!! Thanks all gain!

@Aaronus If you wanted to stick with the "screen tree" like you had listed above, I could probably make a tool for that. In my opinion, it would "flow" better than links on a html page. PM me if you want more info. And let me know if you are doing an IOS or Android app - and v1.5 vs v2.0 -Stobe

No there's several methods I can think of. Have a template + JSON data Funny, that sounds like what Buzztouch is all about. Database + JavaScript Fred
