Maps not showing user's location when previously they were

I have 3 Android apps, one version 1.4 and the others are 2.0. The apps all worked fine with the maps showing user location, driving directions etc. Suddenly all the apps are not showing device location and I'm getting the error message saying that the device is not reporting it's location. It's not just my device that this is happening on. Has something in Google changed? Does anyone have any ideas? thanks, Liz

from the ever-knowledgeable MySkylla I know so little and remember even less, therefore I write it down. @ehwright, confirm that the app allows location in the control panel My Buzztouch & Google map article provides additional info. www.MySkylla.com Fred

Thanks, but I'm not worthy of such a title. And by the way, posted your simple explanation re location in my Buzztouch & Google Maps Guide Fred

Thanks guys, I had followed all your steps in the guide and had it working perfectly. Put the app into production, still had it working perfectly, and then suddenly lost the location again. This also happened to my app that was produced in version 1.4 which those fixes didn't even apply to. Fred, the app allows location in the control panel. It's more than one app by the way, I have checked them all. Liz

Is debug set to false? Did you obtain Google Maps Debug API Key? Fred

Ok, so I got up in the morning, answered the post as above, then checked my apps again. Device now showing. I know that it wasn't just my phone yesterday, I had others check it. So could it just have been a google thing? Liz

So, the location is displaying on one device, with maps etc. On another device, we have the location coming up now, but the map is nowhere to be seen. Is there anywhere we can check to see what is going on? Liz

Try refreshing the device that's not showing. Open app, press device menu button
