Start iPad app in landscape

Hey guys, I've recently started work on a project, and ideally I'd like the whole app to run in landscape orientation. I just had a few questions: 1) As far as I'm aware, starting your app in landscape is against Apple's UI Guidelines. Yet there are so many apps that do. Has anyone had any issues with this, when Apple have reviewed your app? 2) How would you go about hard coding it into xCode to get the app to run ONLY in the 2 landscape positions? I've tried a few things I've found on the web but I can't seem to get it to work with my BT source code. Thanks guys, appreciate your help.

I think that on Xcode, in the summary, you have the option to indicate in what orientations should the app work. Could this be what you're looking for? Cheers

MadRod, Yeah, that doesn't really change it... I've tried that, but the app still launches in portrait. I'm pretty sure that summary page just tells iTunes Connect (and the AppStore) what formats the app is compatible with, and as far as I'm aware it doesn't actually modify the code. // J

Check out this thread. It tells you how to do it. But it does talk about a rejection though. http://www.buzztouch.com/forum/thread.php?tid=54B8A63D4130145&status=&searchInput=orientation&sortColumn=FT.dateStampUTC&sortUpDown=DESC¤tPage=1&doViews=1 Good luck.
