button images

if i use a url for a button image, will it cache it?

Hey, I'm really new to this, so please don't take my response as gospel, but in both the simulator and on the device all of my button images from URLs have cached. Regards,

Yes, everything that gets grabbed from the network get cached. However...if you think the button image will be fairly static, and won't change much...it would be better to include it packaged with the app itself. Mark

I believe they should be. When I watch the console while running the app on the simulator, any resources it says is not local is cached. So, I have to assume that literally means any resource. Mark

Mp3 that are streamed are not cached. Am currently trying to figure out how to make that an option. Fred

True. Streaming is totally different than requesting a file over the network, which is what I assumed you mean. Fred is correct with respect to streaming. Mark
