problem parsing the package when trying to install on phone?

Is this a really dumb question? I've got to a point where my app is looking something like an app and the basics are in there and am ready to develop it fully but I want to see if it works on a phone. I exported the apk file to my desktop and then just tried to copy it to my phone just using explorer and dragging it into the download folder on my phone. When I try to install the app all I get is a parse error 'There is a problem parsing the package' Is the problem with the .apk file or the transfer to my phone or maybe my phone? I've tried looking at all the blurb but cant find anything about transferring to a phone. Once again many thanks for helping Rob

I believe there is a guide somewhere on myskylla.com for apk files... http://myskylla.wordpress.com/2012/01/27/how-to-create-your-buzztouch-app-using-eclipse/ "The next Guide will be about installing the App onto your Android Device." Not sure if that guide has been released but take a look around and see what you can find! p.s. I think the transfer is the problem, not the .apk Take care, David buzztouchmods.com
