buzztouch.com back office - how can we help?

I had the great fortune to spend last Saturday afternoon with David and ATRAIN53 to talk shop. If you ever get the opportunity to do so, you should jump at the chance. David is clearly committed to his vision for what buzztouch is and where it can go - so much so that he's spending a ton of $ each year (out of his own pocket) to fund the back office for the buzztouch.com site. That's a very generous outlay to support this community, and one he does because he believes in what this can become. David is not asking for our help - but it seems obvious to me that we should. I'm like many of you - free access is great, right? - but what I gain from buzztouch has great value to me. So, I'm going to "subscribe" at the Self Hosted level even though I don't need to, because I'm a believer. If you agree, and are in a position to do so, I'd encourage you to consider doing the same. I look at it this way - I'll spend $30 or more a month on a gym membership (that I don't use), or a couple of expensive lunches, or any number of other things (just look at your Walmart receipts for a month) - none of which will provide the same lasting benefit as what I get here. Thanks - Warren

Hi Warren, Thanks so much for the kind words. You're urging the audience to become supporters in a more concrete way is sincerely appreciated. It's looking like your urging is falling on deaf ears! Zero replies, LOL. It's my opinion that your decision to upgrade your account to a paid account type is based largely on the idea that we got to spend some time together talking-shop in Chicago. And, because we now have a more personal relationship, you're feeling obligated. Dunno, just a hunch. It's important that users understand that we're happy to continue helping folks navigate through the app creation / management process - paid or unpaid. And, in some cases, folks will upgrade for various reasons. Sometimes to say "Thank you" and other times because the FREE account limitations are not adequate. Once again, we're happy either way. You have a bright future in the app market and we understand that lots and lots of tools, methods, and approaches exist to help you figure out the complexities. We hope you continue to find the buzztouch approach helpful and thank you very much for your formal support ($). Cheers and happy app building...

HEY !!!! If I can get someone to Just be able to ARCHIVE my two apps that I have been having trouble code signing for the last Month or so, I would HAPPILY become a Paid MEMBER... I have used buzz touch for around, well, since February or so, and am happy to say, been able to create, upload, and put out 4 APPS on the App store, without BUZZ touch I would NOT HAVE been able to do so........ Again, I guess this is kinnda like Blackmail,,,,BUT, I am desperate to Archive these apps and get them on the App store, weather they are approved or not, That's MY problem, I just can't get through the Codesigning. Like I said I was able to do it 4 times before, but this time,,well, it just Kicked my ass.... Ok, then, to clarify, I WILL BECOME A PAID MEMBER, HAPPILY (this will put me over the edge) if someone kind soul will help me out....

@pulverdingen: Not to worry, there's gotta be an easy solution for whatever you're running into. Please don't upgrade if it's not appropriate, that's not the idea ;-) Archive: This isn't something we can help with (code signing) remotely. There are a few users that have talked about using screen sharing software to help other users but we've never done it. It looks like you've already begun this process with another user. Did you get anywhere? There's something about they way your creating your provisioning profile in the Apple Dev Center, then associating it with your build that isn't right. It's terribly frustrating for sure! Not sure how to advise other than following the countless tutorials online EXACTLY in a step by step manner. Sometimes it's a matter of starting over with the build.

Well,,,it SOUNDS like a good Idea TO ME !!!! (the idea to Upgrade) Yes I've rebuilt the app Twice,It think it has something to do with my Keychain and the amount of Provisions that I have, It's all very confusing. A member of the Buzztouch community did try to help me out and pointed out some ideas, we even tried the Teamviewer a bit, but to no avail. For me, just thinking out loud here, The idea of Upgrading to receive some extra support is logical, In a Free Market world you get what you pay for....Getting Remote assistance could be a Perk for users who Upgrade ! So........I am willing to Hand Over my login credentials to Itunes connect and IOS provisings Portal to Buzztouch in order to take care of my problem, or just Remote service in any case. This action, this course could/should be a Pay For Service, a service that I and I feel many others would gladly pay for, HAPPILY !!!!!!!!!

Not sure if this helps, but I know I had a lot of problems when I upgraded to lion. I had duplicate keychains. I ended up deleting them and starting over by downloading all of the provisioning again afresh from iTunes. I agree that this is the most frustrating part of the process! It would be a great business idea for someone to create the final binary and submit for Buzztouch users. I think this is as hard as the coding! It is particularly frustrating because sometimes it works without a hitch, and sometimes it is an extreme hassle.

You could try calling Apple. I called Apple on my first app, and they were helpful, although they hinted that I should get some professional help. That time the problem was just that I was using WiFi to submit--on their advice I plugged into ethernet and it did the trick! Not that your problem will be that easy to solve. I think you have run into the same duplicate keychain issue I had. Take a look at this troubleshooting page, to see if any of these solve your problem. https://developer.apple.com/library/ios/#technotes/tn2250/_index.html

What benefits do you get out of upgrading?
