sound effect audio not working

I have set up a menu list with 2 second sound effects. when I click the menu item it goes to the next screen without making the sound effect. I typed in the name of the sound effect in the control panel and took the sound clip and moved it into the eclipse BT audio folder. Is there a step I am missing? I have even tried adding the file names to the apps delegate.m file under the sound effect loader. Example.. //add each sound effect to the list of... soundEffectNames.add("MyNewSoundEffects1.mp3"); soundEffectNames.add("MyNewSoundEffects2.mp3"); soundEffectNames.add("MyNewSoundEffects3.mp3"); hmmmm Comments Yes I have.
