Sure @Stobe go for it. I am hoping by helping Scringo with the implementation tutorial they can spend more time focusing on finishing the Android version. :)

I implemented Macapples codes but it seems as it continues to send the same feed over and over. It looks like the only time i submit a new post feed is with an apple update because of the code being embedded.

Hi @Rad Doc, Regarding your questions: 1. The user can set his profile either by connecting with Facebook or Twitter (Twitter works for devices with iOS 5 or later) 2. You can update the feed by calling [ScringoAgent postToFeed@"any message"]; anywhere in your code (don't forget to add #import <ScringoAgent/ScringoAgent.h> to the file where you call it from). 3. Twitter invite is active only for devices with iOS 5 or later.

@ Scringo, Thanks for your response. 1. Please correct me if I'm wrong, but It seems that if i add my feed to the code and want to make a change or update to that feed, I would have to send an update to apple every time since it is hard coded. 2. I have 5.1 installed on my device and I am getting the twitter option Greyed out. I even downloaded Macapples tattoo app that has scringo installed and that was Breyer out as well on my iPhone. Thanks for your replies. Anthony

Hi Rad Doc, make sure u have this...let me know ;) You need to have TwitterInviteLink in your ScringoAppSettings.plist file. The value should be a link to whatever you want people will go when some one invites them from your app (for example, a link to your app in appstore, or to your site). For example: <key>TwitterInviteLink</key>         <string>www.myapp.com</string> I think it was in the original plist file, but if not, make sure it's added there

Hi Ian just came across your post, will this chat module work in an existing BT project or is this framework suppose to be as a stand alone, therefore cannot be added as a page to an existing BT project which is what I want to use it for. Does your integration tutorial show how to setup in an existing BT project as a screen?

It isn't a screen buddy, it slides in from the right hand side of your phone when you want it. Like the way you pull done for Notifications. So, yes it can be added to an existing project.

@ianjamespiano/macapple THANKS again for bringing this little toy into the BT world. It's new, unique and cool and that is the kind of stuff that catches peoples attention. Got it running in my BT 2.0 app and gave the client a quick demo of what it is. They liked it quite a bit. Now i need to learn how to use the functions in it! but the hard part of getting it integrated - you guys saved me a lot of work with the tutorial and notes. gracias. A couple of changes/questions 1) confirmation it works on Self Hosted 2.0 2) running great on my iPhone 3G running iOS 4.2.1 3) works only up to iPhone 4.1 simulator in XCode (4.2 Build 4C199). If i try it in any simulator above 4.1- I do get the Scringo slider window, but the rest of my APP does not display. I tested all 3 variables for the "Show it on every launch" option in my ScringoAppSettings.plist and that doesn't seem to make any difference. So I can only use 4.1 simulators and below to test it. 4) Step 5 of the tutorial "Navigate to the following file in xcode: BT_reachibility.h (it is in the BT_Objects group) I don't have a BT_Objects group in my BT 2.0 project. In BT 2.0, I found the BT_reachibility.h file in my BT_Core folder 5) the FEED In 2.0 there is no BT_screen_imageEmail screen. Maybe some more tinkering with Scringo i'l find my own answer... Any other ideas/screens where you or anyone else would/has added the feed?

Hi Mac What do you mean by it slides in, is there a button on the side of the app? Is it always visible to access? Haven't had a chance yet to add to my app projects so don't know what to expect.

It's like Push Notifications, you know how they work yeah? They slide in from the top of the screen when you pull down. Scringo is the same, it shows, on app launch, that there is an additional feature tucked away on the right hand side of the app. You simply pull / slide from the right and a navigation system opens up.

Hi Ian & Mac I have to say that this plugin is seriously good and I'll recommend any Buzztouch user who wants to add a chat room to their app to look at this plugin. Anyway my reason for this particular post was to thank both Ian & Mac for a great tutorial to integrate, it was clear and only took minutes to add, can't thank you enough. Now back to trying to get my Push service running, i wish it would be as easy as adding Scringo. All the best guys!

Thanks Dragon007, Here's an FYI regarding Scringo Radar The Radar shows only users who are currently online (i.e. their app is running), or were online recently. Currently, "recent" means around 8 hours (30,000 seconds).

Hi Guys this question is for Mac or Ian in regards to the Scringo feed; I have been through your integration process to add the code to use the Scringo feed but wanted to know, do I only need this one piece of code which was: [ScringoAgent postToFeed:@"Just uploaded a photo"]; Or are there any other post feed scripts I can add? or is this all I need?

Hi Guys another question: I want to integrate my Facebook App ID but I don't have the CFBundleURLTypes in my BT_info.plist, how do I add this? to complete the Facebook integration.

Have been playing with the CHAT in Scringo for a bit. Love the concept, def want it to be a feature of the app. I have noticed that when i invoke the chat feature, i can;t see what i'm typing as my chat message. Here is a screen shot from my app: http://www.skomp.net/BT/noseechat.png when you go to type or reply to a chat message- the keyboard slides up and the chat 'window' moves all the way to the left- but there is no input dialogue to see what you are typing for the chat. this makes it hard to chat and even worse for people like me who really suck at spelling. i'd love to be able to see the text i'm typing for the chat as i type. any option/feature that controls this? very curious if there will be more features and control of the CHAT feature/options when Scringo openes up the developer 'portal'? seems like the System messages could be used a a psudo type of Push Notification.

@dragon007: you need to manually type the CFbundleurltypes in the info.plist. Ianjamespiano helped me earlier..read the post above on 5/16.

Okay, I got this installed in my app in about an hour! Here are two things I've noticed so far (mostly for the Scringo guy) 1. can't delete messages 2. when I message someone back my name shows up but my picture is blank (I signed in with FB) My other question is with the live feed. At first I thought about trying to get rid of it altogether but I think it would be a great tool as a sort of discussion board for everyone. But looking at the discussion above it seems only I can add to the live feed? Is there a way to let ANYONE leave a comment? And lastly... when this comes out of beta, any ideas how much is scringo going to cost? I imagine our messages and favorites are stored somewhere? Or are they within the app? If the latter will it be deleted on app updates??? Thanks, and before I forget... THIS IS GREAT!!!!!!!!!!

@ianjamespiano- Thanks for all of your help during the Scringo integration process. I don't know if you've seen my app, yet. It's called "Brides and XV.". I forgot to take off the test users in Scringo, but it is in the "reapproval" process to get them taken off. I'm excited about the new features coming soon! I've actually gotten over my huge fear of coding! @mutzy- I agree with you about the needs for Scringo....Although, it looks like they are satisfying customer needs quickly. :) @MacApple- thanks for sharing your app with everyone, too. It helped give me a big picture of what my app should have. :)

It is live and running with Scringo, because it still works well with users. I just won't promote it much until the fake users are gone. :) Scringo totally changed the mission of my app! I love it!

Hi Ian sorry to be a pain, but I had noticed that Scringo have released their Android version but I have no idea how to implement and wanted to know when you plan to provide a tutorial for the Android version. Again no pressure I'm sure you are busy. Dragon

Is this all done as well as or instead of the Scringo tutorial? I ask cos I tried both and with just this the Xcode project fails to build. With me doing what's explained on the Scringo site AND what's listed here, it builds without major errors but I get a black screen - nothing else. The build has two semantic issues, both on this line: [ScringoAgent startSession:self.window locationManager:nil andFacebook:nil]; Here's a screengrab: https://www.dropbox.com/s/tacem7biiaiyngb/screengrab_3113_5-7-12_975%20x%20176.pdf

@teamcaz - Seems like you didn't add the Accounts.framework to your project. Make sure to add it as optional, if you want to support iOS4.x as well Elon

@scringo - i too am having the same issues, any chance you could provide a breif explanation on how to resolve this? for some of us newbies "adding a framework as optional" makes about as much sense as "(^$&*)^@*&)%$*&" Apologies in advance for the ignorance Dave

Hey Dave, I definately will... yeah I finally figured out the whole "optional" setting with Twitter, I got all excited when I made the change and upon hitting the build button in xcode my app changed from 5 errors to 26 errors and 1 warning... I'm not giving up tho, I will keep you updated.

@teamcaz - after about 4 hours of working with this i now have it working in my app 100% - if you would like to post the errors you are having, i can campare them to the ones i was having and show you how to fix it. Dave

@SkullyFox - I see you managed to make it work, but just in case there's a good explanation about adding framework to xcode: http://developer.apple.com/library/mac/#recipes/xcode_help-project_editor/Articles/AddingaLibrarytoaTarget.html Basically, you need to tell your project (app) that you are using external frameworks, and in our case it means Twitter and Account frameworks. The 5 steps are really the easiest way to do it in xcode.

Hello all I am integrating scringo and Its working fine. S now I am trying to integrate facebook and twitter and through the instructions on scringo and through the tutorial it says to add the facebook and twitter info to assets/scringo.properties file. Where is this file? When ever I download the scringo sdk it it just has the framework in the sdk and scringo.bundle. I think i am missing something. Can someone please help?

Hi @feraco, Please note that the file assets/scringo.properties refers to the Android version (and not relevant for the iOS). for iOS - You can check the instructions on Scringo's developer zone (dev.scringo.com) under Resources -> iOS Guides -> Connect to Social Networks. Elon
