Try checking out this section of the buzztouch website : http://www.buzztouch.com/resources There is an entire section of documents that deal with Android, like what you need to get going, how to set up your development environment, and things like that. With respect to making money, @Fred is right...so do, most don't. My experience has been that most Android users aren't willing to pay for apps (hence the reason Angry Birds is free), and thus your only real way to make money is via ads, through such services as AdMob.
