Distribution Certificate - Error running on Device

I had the app set up with a developer certificate. It ran fine on my device when testing it. Then, once I was ready to submit the app to the app store, I created a distribution certificate and changed all the code signing options in xcode to the distribution certificate. When I tried to run it on my device, I got the following error: The executable was signed with invalid entitlements. The entitlements specified in your application's code signing entitlements file do not match those specified in your provisioning profile. Is this because the app certificate is set to App store and not adhoc? So technically it won't allow me to run it on my phone? Because I archived it without any problems, but I don't want to submit it to the appstore if I don't know for sure that this won't be a problem. Thanks!

NVM, found the answer: App Store provisioning profiles do not allow for a distribution built application to be installed on an Apple device. To install your distribution ready application on a device, you must create an Ad Hoc provisioning profile.
