Been away a while now nothing works!

Hey guys, Been away from BT for a while working on another project. Ive come back to finish off my app ready for release into the app store and I'm getting 100+ issues when running in the simulator? It was working fine when I last checked so I'm totally baffled??? example of errors are: Extra tokens at end of #import directive Implicit conversion from enumeration type 'UIInterfaceOrientation' to different enumeration type 'UIDeviceOrientation' Declaration of 'struct sockaddr_in' will not be visible outside of this function 'MKReverseGeocoder' is deprecated 'MKReverseGeocoderDelegate' is deprecated Incompatible pointer types assigning to 'NSObject<MGTwitterParserDelegate> *__weak' from 'NSObject *' Property 'title' 'copy' attribute does not match the property inherited from 'MKAnnotation' to name just a few! Apologies if there have been some major changes that I have missed, Ive not been ignoring you BT just had a lot to deal with :) Any help much appreciated, I've been working on this app 6+ months, would kill me to have to start over!

ok so im assuming I am going to need to re-download the source code for my app, in order to get updated code. Is this going to overwrite my existing project? as I have many images, custom HTML pages, docs etc that will need to be migrated over. If someone could just clear this up for me before I go gung ho id appreciate it :)

You could always save the old project and just migrate over the images etc to the new project, via BT or something. But what do I know, im new here :)

I don't think anything major has changed in the BT code. v1.5 apps still work/compile fine from months back. More likely to be changes/updates in iOS?

then surely any changes in iOS would effect every BT app as this would be well documented?

There has been no major changes to BTv1.5. Don't re-download the source code. Your problems probably are with Xcode not Buzztouch. Fred

hmmm ok, any ideas why all of a sudden Xcode would fill my project with errors. The last thing I did was build for my iPhone 4 to test on a handset, which worked 100% (and still does) now just crashes when running in the simulator? I haven't touched Xcode in months :/

ok updatedto 4.3.2, all errors still there and app still won't run in the simulator. Im quite confused as it is all the BT files that are displaying errors and these have never been modified. If my mac wasn't so damn expensive it would probably be through a window about now!!!

noticed this in the change log - "10-19-2011: iOS 5, Xcode 4.2 Build Warnings Lots of warnings were displayed when using the newly released Xcode 4.2 and the previous buzztouch code-base. Now that iOS 5 has been officially released we have fixed-up the project so no warnings should display. There are always subtle compiler differences and code-syntax isses that need adjusted with each new iOS release. No warnings should display now if you download the latest project and compile with Xcode 4.2 and the latest iOS 5 SDK." Does this mean I need to re-dl the source code?

Perhaps. Make a copy of your source code. Download new source code to new location. Add images and other assets & resources from old source code to new. Compile and let us know how it went. Fred

Ok redownloading the source code removed the warnings from Xcode. However, the app would still not run in the simulator. Turns out the iOS simulator software had crashed as none of the native apps within the simulator would run either. A reboot of my mac and everything now runs again :)
