Eclipse emulator showing old menus even though deleted?

Hi, I am trying to get used to v2 but have some issues. I created a splash screen and a tabbed layout with 1)splash screen 2) menu buttons. However when i load up the emulator the splash screen went crazy and kept on refreshing and i couldn't click the menu button tab as the splash screen kept on interfering. Now i deleted the splash screen completely from the project and yet ti still shows. I have closed eclipse and removed any trace of a splash screen. How can i get around this, is it a bug in android v2?

Open up the BT_Config.txt file and have a look. And no it's not a bug. And you need to read Offline vs. ONLINE And Buzztouch & JSON And The Android Process Found in my Guide www.MySkylla.com Fred

Thanks for the tips Fred, it seems really much more complicated than my old 1.4 version :) I am going to have to do some reading ...

Actually not much coding. Learn the screens available and advance properties for the screen. Fred

Hi @Daikokuten, Yeah, v2 is a bit more complicated than v1.4, but TONS more powerful! The problem you are having is that your configuration files are out of sync. The best way to correct this is, in your control panel, hit the "Show This Apps Configuration Data" link. Copy all that info and paste it into your BT_Config.txt file that came with your download package. Then I would delete any older versions of your app in Emulator or iOS Simulator, and then build again. Everything should be as you designed it! Mark

Hi GNW, i made some changes and on the config file on BT and it doesnt show either a splash screen or menu button both on the emulator config and BT config file (at bottom). It should just show a custom url. I checked both config files and it looks good, but when i load up the emulator it still loads up the old project that doesnt exist, but somehow does :) I am thinking it might be something to do with the emulator or am i missing something? {"BT_appConfig": { "BT_items":[ {"itemId":"JA260EF31B88174A834B7D543", "itemType":"BT_app", "buzztouchAppId":"XXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXX", "buzztouchAPIKey":"XXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXX", "dataURL":"http://www.buzztouch.com/api/app/?command=getAppData&appGuid=XXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXX&apiKey=XXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXX&apiSecret=XXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXX", "reportToCloudURL":"http://www.buzztouch.com/api/app/?command=reportToCloud&appGuid=XXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXX&apiKey=XXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXX&apiSecret=XXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXX&deviceId=[deviceId]&deviceLatitude=[deviceLatitude]&deviceLongitude=[deviceLongitude]&deviceModel=[deviceModel]&userId=[userId]", "name":"mysecrettheme", "version":"2.0", "startLocationUpdates":"0", "allowRotation":"largeDevicesOnly", "BT_themes":[{"itemId":"DB12E79F2B95CEC7613AC54", "itemType":"BT_theme", "itemNickname":"mysecrettheme", "splashScreenItemId":"", "statusBarStyle":"transparent", "navBarStyle":"transparent", "toolbarStyle":"solid", "backgroundColor":"clear"} ], "BT_tabs":[ ], "BT_screens":[{"itemId":"5BC2385A0F5FF48872C89AA", "itemType":"BT_screen_customURL", "itemNickname":"NewsEn", "dataURL":"http://www.google.com", "navBarTitleText":"NewsEn", "forceRefresh":"1"} ] } ] }

The emulator is caching the old Config file. Try closing it and restarting. Fred

Hey, @Daikokuten, I had a similar problem (it did not show the updates I made). What I did was teh following: When you run the app from Eclipse, you usually click right click on a project and choose "Run as"--> "Android Application"; but instead of that now choose "Run as"--> "Run Configurations". There under "BT_activity_root" choose "Target" tab and mark "Wipe user data" checkbox. Then click apply and run it like that. Worked for me.
