Does Android v1.5 support Google API 15 (Android 4.0.3)?

Ive been using 2.2 - API 8 with success, but was wondering if I can compile a new APK using 4.0.3 - API 15 and that will work and be backward compatible? Best regards Bernt

2.2 is the minimum build level. 4.0.3 will be backwards compatible to 2.2 in that you'll be able to build it ok. Most features that work on 4.0.3 but not on lower levels usually degrade to an alternative compatible feature - for example, fragments (split screens) I believe degrade to X amount of seperate screens.

The important thing to keep in mind is that you need the Google APIs in order to make it work for buzztouch. If you have them, then you should be good! Mark

Should go without saying Mark! Should just add, that you can't really do it with BTv1.4, the level is too low. I think that 2.2 (the first api to properly support tablets) is generally accepted as the lowest level for backwards compatibility of later versions.

It should, but I'm sayin' it anyway! ;-) I've worked with too many people who don't get that the Google API is required for BT. They generally hear Android, and stop right there!

Tried it - worked like a charm.
