Golf Yardage GPS

Ok guys. Need some serious help here. My head is about to explode trying to figure this out. I would like a way to use the gps function to show you how far away (in yards) you are to a specific green. Basically the idea is to map the 18 different greens of a specific got course then show how far away you are via your GPS. So as you move the Yards would increase or decrease. It's done all one the place but I haven't been smart enough to figure this out. Anyone have any thoughts? Thanks

Can you actually get gps to be that accurate? I read somewhere that 'retail' gps doesn't work efficiently to that accuracy by design. The reason being that the US Army use the only 100% accurate gps and want it to stay that way!

@raveyd Have you seen "Find my iphone"? Man that thing points that its underneath the couch on google maps, thats how accurate it is. Its ridiculous.... @ridgerock excellent idea for an app. There's a few people on here that did Map related apps. Search "MAP" and see what comes up. I'm pretty sure I've seen a few way back when. EDIT: Can't see to find the thread. There's also an SDK for it too. Hmmm. Yeah I dont see where it got gobbled up in this forum.

Yeah they are pretty accurate. There are a ton in the stores. I am sure there is a simple way to do it and I am just missing it.

Perhaps it was satnav? Definitely read the article! Maybe it was next to the Black Helicopters article...
