Why does it have to jpg even tho it says png or jpg in Self Hosted

Hello, In my self hosted buzz touch server, for the app icon it says it can be png or jpg , but if you use .png it does not work, when you go to download it? This is not handy as i bought an icon program and it exports in .png

Not sure it's related: If the base directory of the image you want to upload is in your project’s resource directory (e.g. the top-level; same location as main.lua—system.ResourceDirectory), then the image cannot be a PNG file. You can, however, upload other image filetypes from your resource directory, such as JPG. The reason for this limitation is that PNG files in your resource directory get “crushed” (to optimize the final binary size) which makes them incompatible with Facebook photo uploads.

Interesting, since your computer still knows it's a .png. Fred

Changing the file extension from .png to .jpg does work. The only issues are large file sizes, as the change doesn't compress them.

Changing the file extension doesn't change the type of file it is. The browser will still know it's a .png file and treat it accordingly. Changing the extension elk not compress the file. But since it works, that does indicate the bug is in the Buzztouch code and that it's probably regarding a reference to the file extension. The .png file will work of the Buzztouch code knew it's allowed. The type of file and the size is not the problem. Probably some code reused from BTv1.5. Fred
