Background images not working

Hello I have a 'Simple menu' page, which i want to show a background image behind the list. In 1.5 i would select the image and set transparent to 100% and my image would show. In 2.0 i cant seem to show the background image, in both cases the project is for Android. Can you advise please how to show image on my 'Simple menu' page

First, there is no 'Simple menu' page. You probably mean Menu (list) or Menu (button), since you used 'Simple menu' I would have to guess which one. Yes, terminology matters, my life with Buzztouch is much easier now that I'm starting to get it correct. - Menu (Simple) in BTv2.0 Where did you add the image in Eclipse? Fred

Fred's right...there is no "Simple Menu" plugin. It's actually called "Menu Simple" ;-) Now that we have semantics aside, Fred's question about where the background image is in Eclipse is a good one. It should be in the assets\BT_Images folder. Filename should be all lower case, with no special characters. If it's there, and you've built the app since you put it there, can you send us output from LogCat at the time the app launches? It should give us a clue as to what the problem might be. Mark

Cheers Mark/Fred, I have used the 'Image URL' option in the control panel. I did also try the location assets\BT_Images folder. The strange thing is when i use the 'Menu Button' screen the background image shows up. I will post the output from LogCat

If I understand you correctly, you are saying the "Screen Background Image" option (which you have found)isn't working? I have had this problem in the past - I found that if you upload the image and then refer to it as the Image URL, it works better than referring to it by the Image File Name, which sometimes doesn't work (don't know why).

if you upload the image coolimage.png Uploading the image simply adds the image the image name to a database on the server, but it doesn't add it to the source code. Then refer to it as the Image URL Are you referring to coolimage.png? it works better than referring to it by the Image File Name, Will not work until you add image to source code. Fred

Help needed. I have the same problem. Runing Eclipse on mac, bt 2.0 I have uploaded image to project on Bt ..Not sure if this should be followed by adding url or adding image in eclipse res/drawable, but I have tried both, and every combination on global theme and menu simple, but nothing works. I have also copied the bt config and pasted it in eclipse to be updated. filename is lowercase. I have tried setting bg colour to clear What should I look for in the BT_screen_menuListSimple.java / screen_menulistsimple.xml????Is there something i could change? When i make global changes and set color and image there, the image works on every other screen but my homescreen (menu simple) It is still black. I have been trying change #00000000 in my xml CacheColurHint - but I am a no coder so I am just guessing-nothing happens! Any ideas wold be helpful! :)

@Foxelina, perhaps you done too much. To show background image: Select image name or URL. If name upload to server ( maybe unnecessary) If not url Add image to source code. BT_images Build new binary (export or emulator) Run app. Be happy. Fred

hello the log is here http://dl.dropbox.com/u/26654619/log.txt The screen where i want the background image to show is called 'index' and image is called 'avia.jpg'. i have copied the file into the BT_images folder and rebuilt. I have also tried .png files and URL address, still no luck. I have tested using a new screen using 'Menu buttons' called 'indexbuttons' calling jinnback.png from the URL and this works fine (i have also tried the same file and url with screen 'index' but the background doesnt show up) any more advise would be brillant thanks
