Has anyone worked with Geo Social Apps? There's a few dating Apps around. User creates account, uploads a profile pic, says a few words in description. You can then see other users on a tic-tac-toe looking screen, sorted by distance from you. I'm thinking of something a bit more sensible than free "dating". But I guess the look and feel would not be all that different.

Human interaction that is social, is preferable to human interaction that is anti-social. We will need to learn if IOS/Android apps made and marketed outside of FaceBook, are any different than apps made either within FB or with built-in integration. I'm still having mixed results with determining if FB is a common thread in people's day-to-day lives. e.g. I decided to retire my high school class reunion website, in favor of a FB Group. Not the best results so far. But I do want to pursue a Geo-IP proximity app.
