My new app crashes, and remains blackscreen

I'm new to BT and is working on a school project. I'm planning to make a application to sync with a certain website, like a news app, but it crashes when i put in stuff like "button", what could be wrong? Sorry for bad explaining, but afterall, im totally new!

Hi @Sande, Welcome to buzztouch! I'll assume that since your tagline is "Android Fan" that this is for an Android App. Is the app crashing in the Emulator? Or on a real device? What version of buzztouch are you using? v1.4, v1.5 or v2.0? What exact error message are you getting? Since you're likely Android, in Eclipse, in the Console and LogCat panes, there should be debug information that you can post here to help us figure out the problem. Is any of that information available? The more DETAILED information you can give us on the exact problem, the better we can help you. Mark

Hello @GoNorthWest Yes I am a android user and is currently on a Sony Ericsson Xperia Arc, and I'm using BTv2.0 As I'm new to this whole thing, I cant say that i have been looking in the console and LogCat panes, since they dont make too much sense to me... But the thing is that i run the app on both virtual and acctual devices, and they both just go plane black, on the virtual i can refresh the app, but it goes directly back to black, but on the real device, the app just freezes and goes black.

Hi @Sande, I can totally understand why the console and LogCat panes would be a bit daunting. But, there is some good information there. Often if something crashes, it spelled out fairly clear why. Sometimes it's not. But, if you can paste info here that we can look at, it will help us figure out the problem. Info around the time of the crash is the best. Also, if you PM me the dataURL that you find in your BT_Config.txt file, I can see if there are any obvious problems. Mark

@Mark Right now I'm kind of confused, because the AVD, does not show on my screen, but the icon on the panel at windows shows that it is running, but i cant find it somewhere! #Edit Found the problem, or the AVD at least! Will try the app again now!

Well, it should be there clear as day! Try opening Task Manager, killing the avd.exe process, and starting over. Mark
