App rejection story...

I had submitted an app for approval to the App Store four times, each time getting rejected. The reviewer said the app was too simple and could be done using HTML instead. My requests for clarification only got generic "not enough iOS features" responses. So, just as a test, I deleted the binary and resubmitted using a different app name - but did not change anything to the app. It was approved on the first try. Pretty frustrating... but my customer is now happy. Just passing that along, for what it's worth...

Yes, I have three approved apps in the App Store - all are free. Search for "Warren Evans"; my three apps are "The Paap App" (that was the one which took five tries), "Mattoon Motor Mall", and "CCDLINK". All were developed for local businesses. They can also be found on the Android Market (Google Play).

Thanks! My next one will have push notification, still working out the bugs on that.

I had the same thing one time. I added a short quiz and Apple approved it.

I'm a beginner, and wondered if I'm correct in saying that the "Check Repair Status" on the Paap Auto Body menu links to a wordpress (wp mobile) site. I'd like to do something similar, (having a rss feed link to my original wp site), But I was afraid Apple wouldn't go for it. Was this not a problem for you? Thanks.

It is a Wordpress site with page security and mobile add-ins. I don't know if Apple had any objections - they did contact me for a test login account. The customer needed something that worked for all of his customers, and the majority are not smartphone users, so they can login from any browser.

I had an app rejected last week for the following "Apps that are simply web clippings, content aggregators, or a collection of links, may be rejected" I spent ages altering the content and adding a quiz and the app has been rejected again for the same reason. I think I must of picked a jobs worth to review my app. Cant be bothered to waste any more time on it now as it was about a current TV show which ends in a few weeks. You win some you lose some! Onto the next idea. BT is a great site by the way.
