How would I go about making the list menu have a different color for every other link. So basically have two colors, blue, green, and have the list links go , blue, green, blue green.. Thanks!

Wow, zebra striping the menu. That's huge. lots of uses for that. Would/could that work for gradients and image bkg in the menu? Grab that shovel!

thanks for the detailed instructions and figuring this out. keep wording away, sometimes trying to make tutorials too condensed we leave out important stuff. there is a reason why most technology manuals and books are longer than War in Peace! this is really a nice feature to exploit. i remember when this was a game changer in CSS for styling tables. make the content so much more readable in some instances and the same holds true for app menus. and there are a few code block plugins i've seen on sites i think do work bertter than others. if i see one like this i like i'll try to post the name here. thanks again for a very useful chunk of code.
