Is there someone out there that will help me develop my app?

I have an idea for an App that I would like to create for both the Android and iPhone (phones and tablets), but I'm having a little difficulty getting started with the buzztouch product. I've watched the tutorials but still have no idea how to make a custom plug-in. I am interested in finding someone who might want to work with me to develop this App. Thanks to anyone who may be interested in helping me get started.

sue, the first thing is....why do you need a custom plugin? With the plugins developed by buzztouch there is already major resources at your disposal for use. There are many on the foruns here that are willing to help. Whats your idea? is it an interactive , like a quiz, or more of a reference like an "ebook style" app? or maybe it makes us of special features on the phone like some of the compass and gps type apps out there? Maybe we can all get you pointed the right direction, but you need to give us a bit more to go on... :-)

When I look at the plugins I only see 21 of them and none of them look like what I need. I want something that will read a spreadsheet of sorts and show it in a table. Maybe it's out there already I just don't know where?

Well, I'm sure I'm learning something (other than the fact that I have so much to learn) but I feel like all I'm doing is staring at the screen and still not sure what I'm looking at? Are there plugins out there that I can use? How do I find them? I think I'm just totally lost? I cannot find an excel plugin? If I did, I'm not sure how I would use it? This is the first time I've ever looked at this stuff and none of it is making much sense. I only found the first group of tutorial on here and then it stopped and I'm sure I need more.

First start with what you want the app to do. Fred

Hi @Sue, Welcome to buzztouch! If I understand what you're asking for you, you want to take a spreadsheet, read it, parse it, and display the data in an HTML table? Is that the gist of it? Some additional questions I have: * Will the spreadsheet be part of the app, or hosted at a URL? * Pretty much static spreadsheet data, or will it change a lot? * Buzztouch has the ability to create a screen that displays Excel spreadsheets. What about that option does not work here? Is it that you can display things better with HTML? It's entirely possible that you don't need a custom plugin, and that what already exists in buzztouch can hook you up. But to really determine that, we need to understand what your requirements are. Think from the perspective of a user, and let us know what you would expect them to experience. Again, welcome to buzztouch! Mark

Hiya, just my little clarification from reading the discussion above; Do you need your app to dynamically feed data/information perhaps obtained from using your app, (and fed) onto the spreadsheet? (I dont know whether thats possible?) Or is it that you just want to display data which you feed (by yourself) into the spreadsheet? I am also keen to have views on these i must admit, and i hope my questions make sense and compliment your questions PS Having said what i said, may i suggest you draw a simple/rough diagrammatic schematic (with arrows) of what you want your app to do from beginning to end (bearing the various/available screen plugins in mind). I found this greatly simplified the logic for me, before i started on my first app which is still work in progress, but has all its "blocks" in place

You create them . Buzztouch Mods has a few iOS plugins. There'a one additional Android plugin (eBook ) As we learn how to create them, there will be more. Fred

Can be used as a stand alone HTML doc. Not necessary to use with Custom HTML text screen. Fred

(haven't played with it yet but...) does it do "flip" pages and all of that , or more of just a reader?
