Something Went Wrong. There was a problem parsing the JSON result?

Hi there, First, let me congrat everybody on this forum... I just heard about Buzztouch few days ago, and I already have the impression that all this is very nice. The thing is I'm having troubles with my self hosted control panel. 1. There are no plugins installed. How can I retrieve the original ones? 2. I can't see my apps (the ones developed in the original control panel). 3. I can't build a simple test project ( it keeps giving the notice: "Something Went Wrong. There was a problem parsing the JSON result?", even though the JSON validation went ok. All that stuff about API seems to be configured... What could be wrong? Thanks, Pedro

Hello! You can get plugins from your account page on this site. Click th link on the top right of this screen (if you're logged in). On the left hand side of your account page is a 'plugins' link. Click on that and you'll see all the currently available plugins. Click on the ones you want and you'll see "download package" underneath the share icons. Download to your PC. You can either ftp those to the plugins folder on your self hosted server or upload them via your admin panel. Go to the admin area of your self hosted server and see the "manage plugins" link on the left hand side. Install/Upload/Refresh plugins on that screen. You won't see the apps from your original control panel, you're starting afresh. Get an app set up with some plugins and see if you continue to get any JSON errors.

Hi, raveyd Thanks for the prompt answer! Ok, problem partially solved, plugins installed as you told me. However, when trying to create a menu screen, I get: "The plugin does not contain a category The plugin does not contain a displayAs value The plugin does not contain a loadClassOrActionName value The plugin does not contain any defaultJsonVars values There was a problem creating a screen with this plugin type?" "starting afresh" means I have to make them again? thank you very much

Haven't seen those errors before. Perhaps @Fred or @GoNorthWest know what they are? There's something wrong somewhere!?!? The best way to install plugins is to upload the complete zip file using the upload function in the 'manage plugins' admin area, and make sure to hit 'refresh plugins'. Perhaps doing that will reveal some errors? starting afresh - yeah, you'll still have your old apps on this site and they can continue to be managed from here. Can't move them over yet. Perhaps a future option? **idea flash!** Did you extract the zip file on your desktop? Depending on extraction method, you may get a folder within a folder. You don't want the 'outer' folder.

3. I had the same problems in the start. For me it was quite simple, I used from the beginning an icon named "name.png"-file. But, the icon-file must be a "name.jpg"-file. Try that. -Alfie-

Hi ceerup, My first post here for you. The problem for me was that my shared hosting server did not have allow_url_fopen enabled. My hosting company won't change the setup so I had to create a php.ini file with just one line in it:- allow_url_fopen = On I put this file in bt_v15/bt_app and now my source code downloads fine. I hope this helps. Mark
