sepala Aspiring developer Posts: 196 Reg: Nov 23, 2011 London 3,060	confirm \| cancel 04/26/12 01:25 AM (13 years ago) AdMob banner position Hi I have just successfully added AdMob banner ad's to one of my apps using the excellent tutorial by @tonycelestino that you can find here- http://www.buzztouch.com/forum/thread.php?tid=B533B9AE10D8EA7BD41CEC5&sortColumn=FT.id&sortUpDown=DESC&currentPage=1 My app has nested list style menus (a main menu that leads to another menu, that leads to another etc. then finally to the screen required), and a tabbed layout (tabs at the bottom of the screen). I have adjusted the banner ad to sit above the tabs at the bottom by changing the height to -69 in BT_viewController.m and this works great. The problem is that it only works on the first menu screen. When you click through to subsequent menus or pages the banner drops down and is half hidden behind the tabs at the bottom of the screen. Does anyone have any experience of this or does anyone know why this may be? Any help would be fantastic! Thanks! Try -92 and if its off balance, keep fiddling around the -92, so try -100, -110 and so on... Every app is different, so it will appear differently based on the coordinates. My App Free App Monster: http://itunes.apple.com/us/app/free-app-monster/id496718334?mt=8 If you download that on an iPad, the ads will appear very differently and the size will not match the iPad screen. I have been having a play around with the position of the banner and think I have worked out what the problem is... The position of the banner is affected by the Nav Bar, the Tabs and the status bar. Some of my pages have a Nav. Bar and some don't so the banner ends up in different positions. Basically all the pages that I want the banner to appear on need to have the same layout either with or without the nab bar, status bar and tabs. Comments Hi @Raoul. Thanks for the advice. It was all because I was hiding the nav bar on some pages and that must affect the margins or something. Now I have the layout the same on all the pages I want the banners to appear on and they are all in the right places. Thanks again!
