How to get DeviceID merge field?

Hi there, I have a customURL screen that passes the deviceId merge field/parameter to my web script. Works fine, but I have no idea where this deviceId comes from? I am using 'new' iPad (3) and the deviceId submitted by my app is not the same as the deviceId that I can see when I browse settings for my iPad. ???

is it a matter of hex vs decimal? Is the number of digits correct, just the wrong number?

Mmm. Thanks very much for reply! My original deviceID (read from iTunes when device is connected) has 12 characters. However Buzztouch deviceId parameter is of format DD6BEE12-CE20-40EC-B0BC-xxxxxxxxxxxx (this is what was sent to our web server for parsing/processing). ???

Neither the serial number, or UDID of my iPad matches the DeviceID merge field that Buzztouch appends to my URL. How do I find the DeviceID used by Buzztouch apps?
