please oh please fix the HTML screen

I'm not going to groan too much here because buzztouch has been awesome for me in so many ways. I am just incredibly frustrated with the glitchiness of the v1.5 HTML/plain text screen. I spent the last two hours typing out paragraphs of text on 8 different screens - I decided to change the nav bar color to black and to hide the status bar on all of the screens and...surprise! Everything I typed has completely vanished. :(

I second your request, but something to consider. There is no Custom HTML text screen. It's true it doesn't exist. Read the Buzztouch v1.5 documentation and you'll see: This page is intentionally blank. The only reason it is here Custom HTML / Text screen and we thought you may be confused. . . . So what's happening is you're creating a HTML Doc that's saved on the server. When you access the screen the app connects to the server downloads the file into the cache. Well if the HTML Doc was on your server it would do the same. If the HTML Doc was on Dropbox . . . Same? Dropbox is sometimes quirky. Perhaps it needs to be in the Public folder. (Interesting aside, Dropbox and image urls haven't worked previously with Android. Perhaps if the image was in a public folder.) So just use your own server or Dropbox and HTML Doc screen via URL and you have the same. Fred

To be clear here, it's not the Custom HTML screen that's the problem, it's the editor that's being used to create it. I would recommend just using a normal HTML file like Fred suggests. You could use the buzztouch editor to create it (so you don't have to learn HTML), but instead of hitting Save, hit Source instead, copy all the code, paste it into an HTML file somewhere, and reference it that way. Same thing, but you don't run into the editor problem. Mark

The way I do it to avoid this kind of issues and also have the code inside BT is to edit my HTML in Dreamweaver(you can use whatever you like. I like DW because it lets me preview the output) and than, just copy paste the code in BT. Now, if an error occurs, I still have my code in DW. I always start by taking the piece of code from BT and paste it in DW. After that I do the customizing and at the end paste it back in BT.

This has happened to me so many times, so frustrating, hope this bug will be fixed in the near future.
