3rd BT App Approved!

Just had my 3rd app that I have made on BT approved! http://itunes.apple.com/gb/app/trek-nepal/id480765903?mt=8 This is an update (v.2.0) of this app. I created v.1.0 with a different service, but as most of it was done with HTML documents it was easy to transfer the original app to BT then add the new features. I have set up some promo codes if any fellow BuzzTouchers would like a copy: 99XM44XANK94 - please leave this one for @GoNorthWest as he has been so helpful! AN7F9Y34MWFF H4LPTNAWYH4H FXW6H7W3PYJH JW79FP7FJARA If anyone is interested here are some of the methods used in the app: - JQTouch - Google Maps API - PhoneGap - MyBB - Flickr - money.js - SQLite

Hi, I got AN7F9Y34MWFF. Impressive app, lots of features. Congrats ! One thing I would like to ask. Is each page an HTML page(except the photo gallery)? I'm asking because I can see a small flicker before the page is fully loaded the first time I opened the app.

Thanks @Vali Yes most of the pages are HTML docs. I know what you mean about the flicker on pages such as Treks & Peaks. I think this is because those pages were created with JQTouch and I haven't been able to get rid of it, although I am sure it is possible. Pages such as the Currency Converter and Notepad are more basic html docs and don't flicker as much... As you said the flicker should only occur on the first opening of those pages as I think BT caches them.

Nice looking app! There is a lot of info in this one. It is nice to see what HTML can do, I can get stuck on thinking in terms of plug-ins and forget you can still code docs to do what ever you want. Nice work, I am sure there was a lot of time put into this one. Jim

Thanks Jim! Yes it took some time but as you said you can do almost anything with HTML docs. Thanks too @ncc6206! Promo codes are available through iTunes connect. Go to the app, view details and top right you should see a Promo Codes button. You get 50 codes per version of your app. Looks like the ones above have all been used up now so please post here if you would like more.

Good App!!! A lot of option and good interaction with users. I´m interested in how to put the "notepad" option in your app. Thanks

Hi Guisante Sure- it I made with HTML and it uses SQLite to store the data in the phones browser so it works offline. It also saves the data perpetually so it isn't lost when you close the app or turn the phone off. All I did was use this demo from the Safari Developers Libary and modified it a bit: https://developer.apple.com/library/safari/documentation/iPhone/Conceptual/SafariJSDatabaseGuide/ASimpleExample/ASimpleExample.html#//apple_ref/doc/uid/TP40007256-CH4-SW4
