Hi, I am quite comfortable with the 1.5 version of Buzztouch Apps. I am still struggling to learn 2.0 version and I do see the light and why you are going that way. However, I would hate to see the 1.5 option disappear permanently as it will still be a valid path for many users. Can you be persuaded to keep it? Well, if you make a new app this text is explaining that the option to create 1.4 and 1.5 Version apps will go away some day: "Existing Users / Older Versions buzztouch v1.4 and v1.5 apps represent the "old way" and we will continue to allow new apps to be created using these older tools. However, we do plan to remove remove this option. Existing v1.4 and v1.5 app control panels will NOT be removed." As i read this, old 1.4 and 1.5 apps will stay but you cannot make new ones when that option is removed. kristian

Your apps will not die. Some day the BT Server option will be far more powerful and complete than 1.5 and 1.5 will then be legacy. Your apps will continue to work but a serious dev you'll want to be on Server when that happens.

ok, so the apps will not die...but (fair question) will we be able to update them? I assume since the control panels will be present that we will... :)

I did get that the apps did not die. My question was if we would be able to create NEW apps with 1.5 also in the future? Please let the user decide himself which version one wants to use :)

My understanding is that at some point we will no longer be able to creat "NEW" apps with 1.4 or 1.5. But I suppose David would be the one to give a final and definitive answer on this, after all it is "his baby".
