Bottom Tab Bar Disappears

Hi, I searched the forum but didn't see this asked...BT-server Bottom tab bar disappears if returning to screen any other way than back button...Basically it would be cool if the bottom nav bar stayed on the screen at all times...I'm sure it's just not implemented yet. I am sure this must have been brought up before...thanks everyone!

Are you using the tabbed alyout option located under Layout for your bottom navigation?

Yes, I think it's just the way Android is responding...probably something that will be addressed in future updates?

Android NOT likely to behave the way you describe unless the Android OS changes. Lots of folks online bummed about this (not the way BT works but the way Android handles tabs). The fact is, Android handles "tabs" in a totally different way than iOS. When the tabs are displayed, all seems good. However, when a new Activity (a new view) is loaded, Android replaces the entire Activity (the entire screen) with the new Activity and the tabs go away. We've experimented with a few different ways to make Android behave like iOS (with tabs) but each attempt brings more confusion because the behavior is "non-standard." In other words, Android works like Android, iOS like iOS. Each are different in tons of ways and tabs is one of them. We should probably add a note in the control panel explaining this. There are a few other places / behaviors in the control panel that are different between the two platforms with no mention of this in the control panel. Bottom line: Each app (Android / iOS) should behave like the user expects, meaning nearly native, and as such it's sometimes necessary to get uber-creative with the design so both platforms are the best user experience possible given the operating system.

Thanks David, I figured it was an "android thing" ... What would android do without that BACK button! Anyhoo, made a cool audio player by using html5 inside webview with JavaScript interface...kinda neat, but my head hurts and the code is ugly!!

No code is ugly. Really, none!
