Creating a company

Hello, I want to create a company so I can use it as the seller name on iTunes but was wondering how I create one, what kind of license I need and where I get it. I live in the United States and was hoping to get something that wouldn't require me to file for taxes. Does anyone know ways to do this?

You can setup an LLC that gives you some protection, you can setup that up for $20 (or thereabouts depending on your State) but you always have to pay taxes. If you are looking for a way to not pay taxes I can't really help.

Is there a way so that I don't have to file for taxes for both the company and myself as an individual. I've heard that a sole proprietorship license might help but not sure what exactly it does?

Can I enroll as an individual and have my company appear as the “Seller Name” on the App Store? No. To have your company name appear as the “Seller Name” on the App Store, your company must be recognized as a legal entity and you must be enrolled as a company/organization. If you are a sole proprietor you must join as an individual and your legal name will appear as the "Seller Name". A LLC is a separate entity from you. Remember corporationsare people too! A LLC (Limited Liability Company) can take three forms: Corporate Partnership Proprietorship Hence the company is separate from your identity and will have taxes to pay. By setting up a LLC (proprietorship) you can include the LLC's tax info in you personal tax return because the IRS considers the LLC to be a pass thru entity. (Result: Don't have to file a corporate tax return prepared by C.P.A.), but don't forget about state & local taxes. Plus the LLC will have yearly registration fees. Fred

Dear Fred Maybe Al Capone 'capped' his good CPA. Trednz I started my business when I was 26 - great time and good fun, my only business advice is to be on the level with everyone and you will be amazed how good other businesses respond to honesty. I was told by fools that all business is about is making money but the relationships I made with inspiring people was equal to the fiscal returns.
