hello, photos not showing

I have been trying for ages to add a background image. But nothing is showing. Basically i wanted the logo and then back ground color. I have tried it so many times but nothing is showing. Would anyone know why? I am forgetting to add something for it to work? iggy

What platform you on? For images to show you have to also drag them into eclipse or Xcode specifically the images folder or res_drawable. Have you done that?

Background images should work on Android and BT v1.5. Images should go into the /res/drawable folder, and should be named with lower case characters, no special characters, and no spaces in the filename. Then do a refresh of your project, and run again. Should work! Mark

Hi Iggy, If you've added a new, local resource to your project, you need to recompile the app again, so it can get packaged up in the apk file. Only content referenced via a URL will be picked up with a simple refresh. Local content additions always require a recompile. It's also a good idea to do a Clean before as well. Hope this helps! Mark

What do you mean by a recompile. Do you mean download the source again. I have tried that and refresed but no luck! :(

By a recompile I mean do the right-click on project, Run As...Android Application thing. That will create a new apk file that will be loaded into your emulator, and it should include the new local resource. This process creates the apk file, which is like an .exe file for Windows, which contains everything needed to run the program on your device. You should not have to download the source again after you have done so the first time. All changes to your app are contained in the BT_Config.txt file. Everything else, except for local media that you add, stays the same. Mark
