Android Maps Display Problems

I got the maps to work in Android, but there are some problems with how they are displayed. Does anyone know a solution to these problems? 1. In Map Behavior in buzztouch, I had selected: Show the user location--Yes, show the button In the app, when I select the button to "Show My Location" the app doesn't show the location. It doesn't react at all. 2. In Map Behavior in buzztouch, I had selected: Show the map type buttons--Yes, show the buttons When I select the button to change the map type to: "Map Type: Terrain" the app shows the Hybrid map type instead of Terrain. If you select the "Map Type: Hybrid" it switches the app to the "Map Type: Standard" instead of Hybrid. As a workaround, I turned off the map type buttons and user location buttons, so I don't create a wrong expectation for users. But it would be nice if these features worked so I hope someone has a solution. Thank you!

Thank you, David! I know how busy you are. They aren't a serious problem and I am moving forward without the features. But I would prefer to have them. Thanks! P.S. I quit my day job, so I could focus more on apps. I am going to try to graduate from being an "aspiring developer" to a real one.

Day jobs suck - I know you can do this!!! If you need any inputs or assistance on some ways you may be able to earn some $ helping folks make or get apps, I'm happy to lend some advice. It's usually not too tough to land a few clients a month, enough to replace a typical paycheck. It can be challenging but for sure it's worth the effort and for sure it gets easier as each month passes. If you want to talk more about this, and some of the lessons I've learned (regarding selling your services to clients), we could schedule a call or skype. May be worthwhile? If this is appropriate, or you think such a discussion could help, drop me an email and we'll connect. david 'at' buzztouch.com Boarding a plane, home in a few hours. I'll post details about this Map issue in the AM? d.

Thank you, David! Actually, I have really enjoyed my day job at a regional non-profit health plan--I worked there 26 years! But I have fallen hopelessly in love with making apps. I need all the advice I can get as I make this transition to self-employment.

Have to chime in on this problem as well; even after applying the fix from MySkylla's blog with Zakamo's post. Susan don't know if you have seen this fix or not but if you haven't you may want to try - perhaps you'll have better luck than I. Again in MySkyll's Blog, fix is applied to the BT_screen_map.java
