Custom URL google map...gps tracking (android)

I am trying to add a custom url google map that will gps track users along a route that I created but the gps function is not working. I have my Google API key added, changed all the coding that is mentioned in the "readme" file. Is there a coding trick that I am missing?

Hi @Cari79, Here is a document that shows how to enable maps for Android. To turn on GPS for your app, go to the Core Properties section, and go to the "Start Tracking Location (turn on GPS)" place. Turn that on. Very interested in how you overlay the track on the map. Can you share how you're doing that? Mark

Mark, Sorry for being so novice but could you tell me where to find the "Core Properties" section and turn on the GPS? Thanks, Carrie

Hi Carrie, No problem at all! Log into your account, click on the app that you want to work with. In the control panel for that app, you will see a link called "Core Properties." Click on that, and you'll see the section I am talking about. I guess I should ask...what version of buzztouch are you using? v1.4, v1.5 or v2.0? The instructions I provided should be good for v1.5/2.0. For v1.4, I don't think this option exists. Mark Mark

Hi Carrie, Unfortunately, you need to start from scratch any app that you created in any other version. No way to copy or port them over at this time. If you haven't done a ton of work on it, it might be the right thing to do. But, make sure first that all the Android features you want are supported in v1.5 or v2.0, because not everything in v1.4 is there for the others. Maps are, so that should be OK. Mark

Mark, How do I upgrade to v1.5? When I go to upgrade to any of the "paid" versions I get an error that I am not able to upgrade my current account? This mapping capability is integral to my app:( Thank you

Hi Carrie, Click on your account, then on Applications. Near the top, on the right-hand side, is a button for New App. Click that, and you can make the choice on which version to create! Mark
