there was a problem parsing some configuration data. Please make sure it is well formed

When I run in the simulator, everything works fine except the quiz. When I push the quiz button, I get this error "there was a problem parsing some configuration data. Please make sure it is well formed "… I cut pasted my config file in json and it validated… not sure what to do next. Thanks

can be as simple as an extra comma before your final close brackets! Hope it's something simple for you ;]

Since its a quiz, I would check for special characters in your questions and answers. I forget which it was, but I had to remove a quote, or apostrophe, or comma in one of my quizes. After you find that, it should compile just fine.

ahh, I bet that's it. Although I have 300 questions… I'm sure I'll find it. Thanks.

this is going to be harder than I thought… I have so many commas, semi colons, apostrophes in my quiz.

If you pasted any text from a work processor into your quiz, that would be the suspect entries. Always best to paste from a stripped-down program like Notepad or something, because it strips out the weird formatting characters. One offending instance is ' vs. `. Looks similar, but the second one will kill it. You can try to do a search in your config file for it. Mark

Yeah, there's no doubt in my mind it's something like that. I cut and pasted from a pdf over 300 questions… Thanks!

That single quote thing is cruel Mark, it'll destroy the wysiwyg editor in the customhtml plugin too!

I'm also having problems with my quizes. I don't get any error message, though - nothing loads when I select the quiz. Any idea what characters aren't allowed?

Hi @kevindosi, Android or iOS? Can you post some LogCat or Console debug info from the point you try and load the quiz? Mark

Hey Mark, Thanks for your help. I'm using iOS for now but would like to use android as well once I finish. The debug console says : BT_screen_menuListSimple: The application doesn't know how to handle action?

Anything before or after that? Like it's trying to load the menu list items from a JSON file or something?
