[How-To] Common iOS/Android Problems and Solutions

Hi, Over the past couple of months I've been putting together two documents that attempt to provide solutions for some of the more common issues we see when trying to develop for iOS and Android. The documents are by no means complete, so if there is an issue you see that I missed, and you have/need a solution for it, let me know, and I'll update the doc. As always, constructive criticism is encouraged and welcome! iOS: http://www.buzztouch.com/resources/Common_Apple_Errors_and_Solutions_v1.0.pdf Android: http://www.buzztouch.com/resources/Common_Android_Errors_and_Solutions_v1.0.pdf Thanks! Mark

Ha! Sorry about that, @Magnus! And I'll try and keep it updated as frequent issues get identified that make sense to include. Thanks! Mark

Don't be sorry I used your other document on how to submit your app to the App Store but ran into some problems with the ARM6 issue and then I had problems with the distribution certificate but Stefan had a great step by step on how to resolve that one...but your document was spot on! Now I am just waiting.... Magnus

Great stuff! Regarding google maps for android self hosted - I hardly ever use google maps, so whenever I open a project in eclipse I get red crosses next to a couple of java files related to the maps. It's an easy enough fix but requires a bit of stripping out of code, I wondered if anyone else gets this problem? If so, maybe It would be worth me sending you the fix and adding it to the doc? Only if it's a common problem though.

Hi @raveyd, Yep, others see that problem as well. And, if you want to take a BT Android app and submit to BlackBerry, you need to remove maps as well. So, if you get some time, write it up and send it to me, and I'll add to the document (with appropriate credit, of course!). Mark
