exact error: Internal Server Error The server encountered an internal error or misconfiguration and was unable to complete your request. Please contact the server administrator, webmaster@xxxxxxxxx and inform them of the time the error occurred, and anything you might have done that may have caused the error. More information about this error may be available in the server error log. Additionally, a 404 Not Found error was encountered while trying to use an ErrorDocument to handle the request.

Usually a simple matter of checking / fixing the permissions in you /files directory. Plugins all have their own /files/plugins/[plugin folder]/index.php page and this page must be able to execute .php scripts. Sounds like the /files directory has the wrong permissions to execute .php

Hi General Dave, I have set the permissioning to '0777' for the /files, is this correct? Still doesn't seem to be working after i do that though.or am i just a lost sheep in the mountains of php? :) Thanks for your reply!

Believe it or not, some servers are different than others. In 99.9% of cases 0777 or 0755 is fine. It's a matter of testing a .php page (one of the plugin landing pages) and adjusting the permissions until the Internal Server Error goes away. Start with 0777, if php won't execute, try 0755. The easiest way to do this, and the required way if you've already uploaded files and plugins is to use the -R flag so all the files and folders are updated to the new permission: From the command line... chmod -R 777 /files You may need to change the /files path, it depends on what director you are in (your current working directory) when using the command line
